A teacher in Faridabad was stabbed to death by a stalker who tricked her into meeting him at her school, police said. The victim, identified as Sandhya Karhana, taught Class 2 at Saraswati Senior Secondary School in Sikrona. She was a resident of Firozpur Kalan and a mother of two.
CCTV footage shows the masked attacker entering the school and waiting in the lobby. When he spotted the teacher, he grabbed her by the neck and dragged her out while stabbing her repeatedly. The attack happened in front of students and staff.
Police arrested a 21-year-old suspect within hours. Karhana had previously warned the stalker that she would take legal action against him, according to a report.
Reports differ on the number of stab wounds and the duration of the attack. NDTV reported 34 stab wounds in 30 seconds, while Times of India said she was stabbed more than 20 times. Hindustan Times described the attack as lasting about 40 seconds. Police have not released further details about the suspect or a possible motive.
