Russian forces struck the area around Ukraine's largest Danube port of Izmail overnight, causing damage and starting a fire, regional authorities said Thursday. The attack adds to ongoing Russian strikes on Ukrainian infrastructure.
Meanwhile, Russia said it shot down 362 Ukrainian drones overnight, and an attack in Russia's Salavat area triggered a blaze at an oil refinery, according to local authorities.
Separately, Ukraine has reported an acute shortage of Patriot air-defense interceptors since the United States went to war with Iran in February, according to a report. The shortage affects Ukraine's ability to defend against Russian missile and drone attacks.
