The microdrama platform ReelShort is projected to increase its revenue by 34% to $1.05 billion in 2026, according to a report from Media Partners Asia. The report says ReelShort revenue grew from $97 million in 2023 to $400 million in 2024 and $785 million in 2025.
In a separate announcement, Hong Kong's CLP Holdings reported an underlying profit of HK$5.73 billion (US$730.49 million) for the first half of 2026, up 9.7% year on year, boosted by its local regulated business. The company's chairman said it planned to invest in electricity supply for the Northern Metropolis megaproject. Net profit, including one-off gains mainly from the sale of the Jhajjar Power Station in India, rose 6.6%.
Also in streaming data for the first half of 2026, 'Stranger Things' and 'The Pitt' were the most streamed original series, while 'Bluey' remained the top library series and 'Zootopia 2' led all movies.
