A student protest against irregularities in state recruitment examinations in Jharkhand continued for a 14th day, while student leader Devendra Nath Mahto entered the sixth day of his hunger strike. Mahto has called out the Hemant Soren-led government over alleged irregularities in exams such as the JPSC and JSSC CGL. During the protest, a protester who was on hunger strike was taken to a hospital, according to The Hindu. Students have formed an 11-member delegation to hold talks with the government to resolve the impasse. Chief Minister Hemant Soren said his government's doors were open for a dialogue.
