Anthropic, the artificial intelligence company, is in talks to acquire startup Decart AI for $6 billion. The deal would be Anthropic's largest known acquisition, adding Decart's chip-efficiency and world-model technology as the company looks toward a possible initial public offering.
In financial markets, U.S. equity futures wavered after a tech-led rally. A consumer price index reading that matched expectations eased traders' bets on a Federal Reserve interest-rate increase. Bond traders stopped fully pricing in a rate hike this year, helped by a retreat in oil prices.
