Spider-Man: Brand New Day has become the fastest movie to reach $700 million at the domestic box office, doing so in just 13 days. The Sony and Marvel Studios film, starring Tom Holland, passed the milestone on Wednesday, surpassing the previous record held by Star Wars: The Force Awakens and Avengers: Endgame, which had tied as the fastest films to hit that mark.
The superhero adventure, which opened in theaters on July 31, has generated $704.5 million in North America and $1.8 billion worldwide after only two weekends of release. It is also one of only seven movies in history to reach the $700 million domestic milestone.
