A Russian ballistic missile attack on Kyiv killed at least three people and wounded 15 others, according to the Ukrainian capital's mayor, Vitali Klitschko. Several people were trapped in a partially collapsed apartment building following the strike.
In a separate development, Russia said it struck a vessel near the Black Sea port of Odesa that was carrying military cargo. Ukraine, meanwhile, reported hitting Russia's Volgograd oil refinery and port infrastructure.
Both sides are increasingly targeting logistics and supply chains, highlighting the Black Sea's crucial role in the war. Ukraine has continued its campaign against Russian logistics targets, while Russia has struck Ukrainian ports and infrastructure.
