Paramount's new low-budget genre label, Paramount Primal, has preemptively acquired the thriller spec script "Sweet Spot" from writers Nic Curcio and Kirby Gladstein.
Deadline describes the project as a high-concept thriller, while The Hollywood Reporter calls it an erotic thriller. Plot details remain under wraps, and no actors or directors are currently attached.
Curcio and Gladstein are the writing duo behind the upcoming indie horror film "Play House." Both filmmakers are based in Los Angeles.
The acquisition marks the latest move for Paramount Primal, which was created to produce low-budget genre films for the studio. No release date or production timeline has been announced.
