Disney+ and Hulu have signed a licensing deal with iHeartMedia to bring six video podcasts to their streaming platforms. The lineup kicks off on August 14 with “Hey Jonas!”, a podcast from the Jonas Brothers.
Other shows heading to the services include “Thanks Dad” with Ego Nwodim, “Pod Meets World”, and “Fake Doctors, Real Friends with Zach and Donald”, the podcast from “Scrubs” stars Zach Braff and Donald Faison. “Desperately Devoted” is also part of the slate.
The deal covers six iHeartPodcasts titles in total, with Disney+ and Hulu gaining streaming rights to the video versions of the shows. iHeartMedia will continue to distribute the podcasts through its own platforms.
Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed. The move marks another step by Disney to expand its podcast offerings on its streaming services.
