A landslide in Mumbai killed five people as heavy rain continued to disrupt life in parts of India. More than 200 roads were blocked in Himachal Pradesh, and Delhi faced traffic snarls after days of regular rainfall. The Kanwar Yatra added to the rain-related problems in the national capital region.
In Mumbai, some areas received light rainfall on Tuesday morning while others remained overcast. SpiceJet issued an advisory for passengers, though the airline did not specify the reason.
Meanwhile, Indian stock markets traded flat amid a deadlock over the Hormuz Strait, with Asian markets showing mixed trends. Crude oil prices extended their rally for a sixth session, with Brent trading near $90 per barrel.
