Israeli forces have arrested 23 Palestinians and demolished the home of a man killed in a confrontation with Israeli settlers in July, as the United Nations warns the West Bank is at a breaking point.
The arrests and demolition came alongside a wave of settler violence across the West Bank, including arson, assaults and the destruction of property.
In the southern Nablus villages of Talfit and Jalud, settlers set fire to several homes and vehicles. Agricultural lands in the town of Beita, south-east of Nablus, were also set ablaze.
In eastern Nablus, Israeli forces using military bulldozers cleared the way for settlers to storm Joseph's Tomb, and fired live ammunition and tear gas canisters at crowds of residents. A number of people were injured and required medical treatment.
Under Israeli military protection, settlers attacked residents of al-Mughayyir, north-east of Ramallah. Palestinians, including children, travelling on the road between al-Mughayyir and Abu Falah were beaten by settlers.
