Actor Prakash Raj has said his name was removed from the voter list in Bengaluru during a special revision of electoral rolls, calling the development a joke. Raj, who said he was born and raised in the constituency, where he attended school and college and worked in theatre, complained that his name no longer appears on the list. The issue comes amid Karnataka's ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls, with Bengaluru emerging as a major concern. According to officials, nearly half of the city's electors currently fall under the ASDDO category — Absent, Shifted, Duplicate, Dead and Others — during the house-to-house enumeration process. The actor's complaint highlights the scale of the problem in the city, where a large number of voters may face difficulties in casting their ballots.
