West Bengal's Special Task Force has arrested Aditya Singh for alleged links with the Pakistan-based terror group Jaish-e-Mohammed, making him the latest suspect detained in the ongoing case. The arrest took place in Howrah, according to investigators.
Singh is suspected to be an associate of Hamim Mondal, a Jaish operative already under investigation. Authorities believe Singh first came into contact with Mondal through an online gaming platform, which investigators say led him into the alleged conspiracy.
The STF did not disclose further details about the nature of the alleged plot or the evidence gathered so far. The arrest adds to a series of actions in the Bengal terror case, which has been under scrutiny for suspected Jaish-e-Mohammed activities in the region. Further investigation is underway.
