Fox will not renegotiate its television contract with the NFL until after the league's opt-out clause expires in 2030, according to Fox CEO Lachlan Murdoch. The decision means the current deal will remain unchanged for the foreseeable future.
In other sports business news, the National Women's Soccer League has given Commissioner Jessica Berman a three-year contract extension, announced in November, that keeps her in the role through the 2028 season. The NWSL also introduced the High Impact Player rule, partly to keep forward Trinity Rodman, one of its most marketable players, playing in the United States.
