Rescuers using their bare hands and buckets searched through rubble in Colombia early Tuesday after a powerful earthquake struck the country, leaving more than 100 people dead and thousands missing.
The 7.4-magnitude quake hit on Monday. Officials said more than 111 people have died, while France 24 reported at least 132 killed. CBS described the quake as Colombia's strongest on record, while France 24 said it was the strongest in a decade.
More than 2,700 people were reported missing on Monday night, according to CBS. Volunteers and rescue crews raced against the clock, clearing debris from dozens of smashed buildings in hopes of finding survivors. The search continued early Tuesday.
