Tencent Video has revealed the first footage and character artwork for its upcoming animated adaptation of the best-selling “Warrior Cats” book series. The unveiling took place at a fan event in Shenzhen, where the streamer showed early animation and character models for the first time.
Rodrigo Blaas is attached as director, with A.C. Bradley serving as showrunner. Blaas appeared at the event alongside Zhou Wang, head of Randong Studio Group and vice president of content production at Tencent Video. The two offered fans a first look at the series’ creative direction.
“Warrior Cats” is based on the popular book series that follows the adventures of feral cats living in clans. Tencent Video’s adaptation is being produced through its Randong Studio Group. The event in Shenzhen marked the first public presentation of the series’ visual style and early animation work.
No release date or additional casting details were announced at the event. The series is in active development, with the creative team now established and initial artwork and footage showcased to fans.
