Ariana Grande is planning to take a step back from public life after her current tour ends, and she has also withdrawn from a West End musical.
The 33-year-old singer's representative told People magazine that Grande will step back from visibility once she completes the Eternal Sunshine Tour. The European leg of that tour is set to wrap on Sept. 1 in London.
Grande recently finished the North American portion of the tour. In a note to her fans, who are known as Arianators, she said she was overwhelmed with love and the deepest gratitude.
Her decision to pull back was first mentioned about a week before the note, when she said she intended to step away from public life after the European run finishes. That plan now also includes pulling out of the West End musical, a role she had been expected to take on. No reason was given for that withdrawal.
Her representative's statement and Grande's own message both describe the same intention: once the final London show is over, she will be far less visible in public.
