The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of Jharkhand police has summoned three members of the Jharkhand Public Service Commission for questioning, as student protests over a recruitment examination continue. The CID is expected to seek information on decisions taken during the examination process and the sequence of events related to the conduct of the recruitment test.
In a separate development, a student delegation met government representatives at the State Guest House on August 7. Student leader Ravindra Paswan said the meeting was the first round of talks, and while the government listened to the students' demands, no conclusion was reached on their key demands. He said the protest would continue for the time being.
