Twitch streamers can now stop Amazon from using their content to train generative AI models, but only if they actively opt out. The streaming platform has added a toggle that lets creators block Amazon from training its genAI models on their videos and streams. By default, Amazon will still train on streamers' content unless they turn the setting off. Twitch's chief product officer, Mike Minton, said in response to user feedback that the opt-out approach was chosen because almost no one would opt in voluntarily if given the choice. The change follows criticism from streamers who argued the default should have been opt-in from the start.
